• Senior Software Engineer role focused on automating tasks for technical program management partners.

• Work with the engineering team for development and deployment.
• Collaborate with program management team to define requirements and generate reports.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in Python development.
• Experience with API design and integrations.
• Optional: experience with Java or JavaScript.
• Team Structure: 2 developers from the engineering team, A couple of program managers providing requirements.
• Similar Job Titles: Python Developer (with senior-level experience).

We are looking for a Sr. Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will develop and operate mission critical services and applications that are used customers and employees worldwide.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the technical design, implementation, and deployment of software solutions for TPM process automation.
• Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams, ensuring that projects are successfully executed meeting LinkedIn’s standards for quality software engineering
• Design and ship high volume of elegant code with foresight to avoid performance, scalability, usability, maintainability, availability and testability issues.
• Maintain understanding of latest technologies and tools and leverage them to improve existing products and services.
• Identify opportunities within the team for potential leverage and reuse by developing libraries, APIs, and shared services
• Contribute towards the definition of product and technical roadmaps
Basic Qualifications:
• BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field
• 6+ years of software engineering experience
Preferred Qualifications:
• Proven track record of developing large-scale highly available services and systems in either Java, Java Script, or Python.
• Working experience in the development as well as consumption of Web Services APIs (JSON / XML / RPC / REST)
• Working experience of build systems, databases, and Linux-based infrastructures.
• Working experience of build systems using WDL.
• Ability to build automation between different platforms.
• Understanding of AI and leveraging AI to solve simple problems.
• Demonstrated understanding of Computer Science fundamentals
• Demonstrated understanding of architectural models and technology stack used for developing highly scalable and highly available web applications and systems
• Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal
• Understanding of Agile Software Development methodologies
