Title: Senior Portfolio Analyst

Location: Aldermaston, Reading (minimum 3 days on-site weekly)

Pay: £66.30 per hour

Skill Requirements

• Stakeholder Management: Must be highly skilled in managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This includes both verbal and written communication skills.

• Power BI: At least 1 year of development experience with Power BI for data visualization and analytics.

• SharePoint: Experience with SharePoint lists, including creating and managing them.

• Microsoft Office: General proficiency in the Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

• Development Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a development role, ideally within a portfolio, program, or project management context.

• Governmental Experience: Preferred but not mandatory. They’re open to candidates from different sectors if skills are transferrable.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Analysis: Analyse governance, reporting outputs, and programmatic data to monitor activities, plans, budgets, risks, and issues across all portfolios.

• Risk Management: Identify key risks and issues across operations and suggest ways to manage or leverage these.

• Identifying Trends: Analyse data to find discrepancies, trends, or opportunities, and take action to address conflicts or interdependencies within the organization.

• Reporting and Recommendations: Lead on reporting for projects and programs, offering insights and recommendations to improve portfolio performance.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain robust communication with stakeholders to build alignment and commitment to the portfolio’s vision.

• Predictive Analytics: Use data to build predictive models to improve project outcomes and performance.

Additional Notes

• Client-Specific Requirements: The candidate will need to attend on-site inductions, kit retrieval, and a medical appointment.

Suggested Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be:

• Experienced in portfolio analysis with strong skills in data interpretation and reporting.

• Proficient in Power BI, SharePoint, and general Microsoft Office tools.

• Strong in Stakeholder Management, able to engage and communicate effectively with different levels of the organization.

• Experienced in Risk Analysis, able to detect risks, trends, and opportunities in complex data sets and suggest actionable solutions.
