Job Title: Financial Data Analyst

Location: Remote ( Eastern time zone preffered)

Duration: 12 months initial contract with extension for longer term

Key Responsibilities
• Must have advanced Excel skills and knowledge of accounting principles.
• Handle a large number of Excel files by aggregating, validating, and transferring data to Financial Systems.
• Conduct production-oriented activities, including:
• Entering and extracting information from various applications and systems.
• Manipulating data in spreadsheets and identifying/researching anomalies.
• Making corrections and ensuring data accuracy as needed.
• Develop standard reports using gathered data; analyze trends, variances (e.g., against plans, year-over-year), and overall business performance. Present and distribute reports.
• Assist in conducting business research:
• Gather data, explore options, and perform cost-benefit analyses.
• Create non-routine reports with detailed analyses/proposals to revise management policies, business processes, or services provided to customers.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate project activities and meet customer expectations.
• Resolve issues promptly to ensure customers receive efficient service in line with company policies.

Requirements
• Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply standard policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Effective analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.
• Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to work with and analyze large interrelated data files used to feed internal financial systems.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across functional areas and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Knowledge of accounting principles.
• Proficiency with personal computers, spreadsheets, and database software.

Pay Range : $45/hr - $55/hr

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
