IN SHORT

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Data Test Engineer to join our dynamic team in Manchester on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in data projects, with a strong focus on Azure cloud technologies. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our data solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile SCRUM environment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for data solutions on Azure cloud.

• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.

• Utilize Azure Databricks, Azure Purview, and Data Catalogue to validate data pipelines, data quality, and data governance.

• Implement automated testing frameworks and scripts using Azure DevOps.

• Perform data validation, data transformation testing, and end-to-end testing of data workflows.

• Identify, document, and track defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues.

• Participate in Agile SCRUM ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• Proven experience in data testing and quality assurance.

• Extensive experience with Azure cloud technologies, including Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Azure Purview, and Data Catalogue.

• Proven experience of working on data projects across various industries.

• A strong understanding of Agile SCRUM methodologies and experience using Azure DevOps.

• Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
