Data Modeler

Our client, a leader in their industry, has an excellent opportunity for a Data Modeler to work on a 12+ month contract position in Westlake, TX. The pay rate is in the $55/hour to $63/hour range. This position is available for w-2 only. It is a hybrid role, with onsite work required every other week. Candidates local to the Metro Dallas-Fort Worth area are highly preferred. No travel is required.

Responsibilities of the Data Modeler:
• Collaborate with data engineering and business teams to design and build scalable data models.
• Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models, ensuring consistency and adherence to best practices.
• Analyze business requirements to ensure data models meet performance and reporting needs.
• Coach and mentor a team of data modelers to ensure adherence to standards.
• Work closely with the business to build flexible models that enhance product offerings and time to market.

Requirements for the Data Modeler:
• Strong experience with data modeling (Conceptual, Logical, Physical, 3NF, Dimensional).
• Ability to work with data modeling tools like PowerDesigner, Oracle Designer, or Erwin.
• Solid SQL skills for querying and analyzing data (ideally ANSI SQL) - should be able to do Joins and also how to connect various joins.
• Snowflake experience
• OLTP experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including explaining data structures to non-technical audiences.
