Data Migration Technician

OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Data Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing, processing, and analyzing data to support various projects and initiatives. This position requires a strong understanding of data management tools and techniques, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties

Collect, clean, and organize large datasets from various sources to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
Utilize data processing tools such as Hadoop, AWS, and Azure Data Lake for efficient data management.
Develop scripts and automation processes using Python and VBA to streamline data workflows.
Implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to facilitate data integration from multiple systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide actionable insights.
Maintain documentation of data processes and workflows for future reference.
Monitor and troubleshoot data-related issues, ensuring timely resolution.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to linked data and RESTful services.

Requirements

Proficiency in data management tools such as Informatica, Hadoop, or Azure Data Lake is preferred.
Experience with programming languages such as Python or VBA for data manipulation.
Familiarity with ETL processes and linked data concepts.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
A background in computer science, information technology, or a related field is desirable.
