Data Engineer
Hybrid, 2 weeks a month onsite in Smithfield, RI. Our industry leading financial services client is seeking a Data Engineer. The Data Engineer will primarily be focused on supporting client implementations and internal migration projects. They will work with the lead data analysts to convert a client’s data into our financial client's architecture. The candidate must be proficient in data analysis and be able to work between multiple implementations and constantly evolving client requirements.
Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $45 - $55 / hr. w2
Responsibilities:
• Proven ability in a data analysis/programming role (minimum 6-9 years experience)
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, as well as a solid grasp of the organizational structure supporting implementation and ongoing projects
• Strong SQL skills to query and script in data
• Data Exchange knowledge and analysis skills to lead, execute, or assist on all assigned work throughout the project; examples of projects: implementation of a new client or Corporate Actions
• Health and Welfare knowledge required
Experience Requirements:
• Excellent analysis skills, preferably data analysis skills, are required
• Solid experience with query languages such as SQL
• Experience with ETL Tools (snaplogic)
• Should have proven general experience programming languages and relational databases
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Work optimally as a team member
• Demonstrate solid leadership skills; are highly organized, self-motivated with strong time management skills and an ability to handle various tasks simultaneously
• Ability to thrive in a matrix-managed environment across multiple locations and functions
• Broad application/technology experience is a plus
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
