Job Title: Data Architect with MS Fabric

Location: Edinburgh, UK - Hybrid (2 days per week)

• Key Responsibilities:

• Data Architecture & Design: Design scalable data architectures and manage data engineering solutions tailored to handle high volumes of batch, real-time, and streaming data.

• Data Ingestion & Integration: Create and maintain robust data ingestion processes, optimizing data flow and performance across systems.

• Optimization & Performance: Ensure efficient performance of data systems and implement best practices for data handling and retrieval.

• MS Fabric Expertise: Utilize your exposure to MS Fabric to leverage its capabilities in data engineering projects, driving insights and value.

• Medallion Architecture Implementation: Implement Medallion architecture frameworks to streamline data processing, ensuring consistency and quality.

• Data Governance & Security: Design data governance frameworks and enforce robust data security controls, ensuring safe data usage and distribution.

• Semantic Data Models: Develop semantic data models for enhanced data analytics and better user insights.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Strong Data Engineering Skills: Expert in data engineering principles and best practices.

• Tools Proficiency: Demonstrated experience with PySpark, Databricks, Azure Data Factory (ADF), or Synapse Analytics (Spark pool).

• MS Fabric Exposure: Experience with MS Fabric and its applications in data engineering.

• Data Architecture Design: Ability to design, optimize, and scale data architectures to meet organizational needs.

• Data Governance & Security Expertise: Proven ability to establish data governance and implement secure data distribution controls.
