Job Title: Data Analyst Location: San Diego, CA 92111 Job Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire; 100% Onsite Salary Range: $23 - $37/hour (DOE) Schedule: Monday - Thursday
General Position Description
The Data Analyst provides strategic, analytical, and technical support for business insights initiatives. This role involves leveraging data to uncover key business opportunities, presenting insights to stakeholders, and ensuring the successful delivery and distribution of reports. The ideal candidate excels in both data analysis and communication, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Responsibilities

Collaborate with stakeholders, process specialists, and users to gather and document business requirements.
Work with business teams to define and document requirements for new metrics and reports.
Design, develop, and maintain reports and analytical tools.
Monitor and refine existing reports to ensure accuracy and relevance.
Provide technical support for reports, dashboards, and other analytical tools.
Identify and resolve errors or inconsistencies in data promptly.
Translate data results into written reports, tables, graphs, and charts for clear communication with management.
Develop communication materials that effectively summarize findings and support recommendations.
Create ad hoc reports to assist management in researching and analyzing issues.
Promote and train team members on the use of business intelligence tools across the organization.

Skills

Advanced analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
Proficiency in SQL and Power BI for building dashboards and analytical tools.
Experience transitioning systems, such as migrating Loadstar to Power BI.
Strong project management and requirements-gathering skills.
Ability to learn new applications, processes, and procedures quickly.
Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Professional demeanor and the ability to build strong partnerships across functions.

Experience

4+ years of experience in business analytics.
Proven track record of using data to drive business decisions.
