Title: Business Subject Matter Expert

Location: Remote

Duration: Long-term contract

Role & Responsibilities:
• Business Subject Matter Expert in Securities Data with specific experience in fixed-income instruments
• Experience in doing Securities Data Management Operations, Transformations, Migrations, or Designs is essential - Experience supporting Investment Teams and Trading Desks is preferred
• Experience in Issuer Data and Capital and Corporate Structure Hierarchies
• Intuitive knowledge of critical attributes of various fixed-income securities and their relation to other functional front-to-back processes (e.g. Trading, Accounting, Risk, Investment Management, Compliance, MO and Settlements, Corporate Actions, Benchmark Constituents) ability to connect the dots on the ripple effects of security master to the rest of the front to back functions
• Proven experience in writing and capturing business requirements, creating security master logic as a solution (e.g. waterfall logic, hierarchy, stored procedure/job logic)
• Comfortable owning, creating, and presenting data solutions proposals to key stakeholders to obtain consensus on logic and solutions proposals that will be implemented in CRD and State Street Alpha and ultimately be used in BAU for live portfolios onboarded to the Alpha platform
• Deep understanding of BBG and ability to pull and analyze data at scale. Must be able to synthesize and interpret findings and provide intelligence to the team. Must have the capability to go beyond simple data reconciliations and can interpret data from different vendors (e.g BBG vs Refintiv Data), make observations, opinions, and recommendations that will inform review for business partners and decision-making on overall data solutions for the security master mapping and design
• Ability to write data quality requirements for the Security Master, test and interpret the results, and refine them as necessary
• Strong ability to work with ambiguity and abstract requirements in a very fluid environment - must thrive in constant change
• Ability to prioritize, while balancing competing priorities and multiple stakeholders
• Detail-oriented and values accuracy over just getting it done
• Fluent in Trade Accrued Interest and economics, Market Conventions, Pricing methodologies, Industry Standards on Security Setups
• Ability to document artifacts to complete requirements
• Experience with JIRA and Confluence
• CRD or Aladdin experience is a plus (knowledge of both from a security master perspective is a huge win)
• Knowledge of OMS functionality is preferred (Order Entry, Trade Blotter, RT Data, Manager Workbench, Portfolio views)
• Detailed Instrument knowledge of Corporate, Munis, Short term (Time Deposit, Repo, Commercial Paper), Structured Investments, Government, Structured Investments, Government, FX, Rates, Credit Derivatives)
• Knowledge of WSO, Bank Loans, Private Equity, and Debt is a plus)
• Knowledge of BBG feeds, batch cycles, and timing workflows (data availability) is a huge plus
• Experience developing successful Securities Data Operational Models and Frameworks
