Carbon60 are working with a global leader in power and energy solutions, who are in need of an experienced Business Analyst to help them with a financial master data improvement project.

Overview

The company are currently undertaking a large-scale project within Finance and IT, aimed at improving the quality of their financial master data through process and data analysis, and problem identification and documentation.

You will be responsible for engaging with SMEs and conducting requirements and process analysis, through conducting workshops and other techniques. You will need to provide insight and recommendations to improve financial data management processes, contribute to data management strategy, and assist in the development and delivery of training towards compliance with data standards.

Main Responsibilities

• Conduct process reviews to identify gaps, inconsistencies, or other pain points in the management of finance master data.

• Develop and document problem statements, business requirements, functional specifications, use cases, test cases, and other project artefacts.

• Create and maintain process maps and data flow diagrams to support process analysis and data management.

• Collaborate with Finance and IT teams to develop and implement data management strategies to improve the quality and accuracy of finance master data.

• Provide recommendations for process improvements and data quality enhancements to ensure compliance with data standards.

• Collaborate with Finance and IT teams to develop and deliver training to end users to support compliance with data standards and improve data management practices.

• Work with the development teams to ensure that data management requirements are accurately translated into technical specifications for development and testing.

• Work with the project manager to track progress and provide regular updates in project status and deliverables.

Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 3+ years experience as a Business Analyst.

• Demonstrable experience working on finance master data projects.

• Experience in data analysis and interpretation.

• Proficient with both Microsoft Excel and Power BI.

• Strong experience in process re-engineering and automation.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

• Ideally, experience working with Infor M3 ERP system.

Contract Specifics

• Contract Length: 6-months, with the potential of extension(s).

• Pay Rate: £450-£500 per day (Inside IR35).

• Pay Rate: Full-time, 40 hours per week (5 days).

• Office Location: Glasgow.

• Working Flex: 2 days in the office, 3 days working from home.
