Job Summary
The Business Analyst will be responsible for identifying, analysing, and implementing automation opportunities within the organisation's payments and invoice processing workflows. The role focuses on transforming heavily manual processes into efficient, automated systems, ensuring a high degree of accuracy in payment handling and invoice auditing. The incumbent will work closely with internal stakeholders, including finance, IT, and operational teams, to define requirements, design solutions, and support the transition to automation.
Key Responsibilities
Process Analysis:
• Conduct thorough assessments of existing manual processes related to payments, invoice checks, and audits.
• Develop process documentation (e.g., workflows, diagrams) to highlight inefficiencies and areas for automation.
Requirements Gathering
• Collaborate with business units to collect and document detailed functional requirements for process automation.
• Engage with stakeholders to ensure all business needs are captured and understood.
Automation Design And Implementation
• Work with technology and development teams to design automation solutions that improve the efficiency of payments and invoice-related processes.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications and ensure successful implementation of automation projects.
Data Validation And Quality Assurance
• Conduct detailed data analysis to ensure that automation outputs are accurate, particularly in areas involving financial data, invoice verification, and payment processing.
• Develop test cases and scenarios to validate automated workflows and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Reporting And Audits
• Generate reports and provide insights on the performance of automated processes.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure that automated systems meet compliance standards and are functioning as intended.
Stakeholder Communication
• Serve as the liaison between the business teams and technology groups, ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide training and support to end-users to facilitate smooth adoption of new automated processes.
Continuous Improvement
• Identify and propose opportunities for further process optimisation and automation.
• Monitor the effectiveness of automated systems and recommend enhancements where necessary.
