Addison Group is collaborating with a prominent international non-profit organization to identify a skilled Cloud Engineer with expertise in Azure, Cloud Architecture, Cloud Networking, Entra ID, Office 365, and Windows.

• Target Pay: $48-$55/hr

Job Description
The Cloud Engineer will play a critical role in maintaining and supporting the organization’s technology systems, with a primary focus on online infrastructure within Azure. Additional responsibilities include managing limited resources in AWS and Google Cloud. This role requires hands-on expertise in Azure architecture, hybrid Active Directory with Entra ID, networking, Office 365, and server management across Windows and Linux environments.

• Manages Azure virtual machines such as: Windows domain controllers, IIS VMs, SQL database VMs, Misc Windows Servers, Red Hat Enterprise VMs, and virtual redundant firewalls both in a production and staging environment.
• Creates, updates, and supports Azure Enterprise Apps for both SSO and AZ Proxy.
• Manges cloud based DNS in Azure and Cloudflare.
Key Responsibilities
• Azure Infrastructure Management:
• Oversee the creation and maintenance of Azure subscriptions, resources, and roles to support various programs and operations.
• Ensure system stability, resiliency, and protection within Azure-based environments.
• Networking:
• Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain networking across Azure resources, VNETs, sites, and tenants.
• Manage cloud-based DNS in Azure and Cloudflare.
• Virtual Machine Management:
• Administer Azure virtual machines, including Windows domain controllers, IIS VMs, SQL database VMs, Red Hat Enterprise Linux VMs, and virtual redundant firewalls in production and staging environments.
• Cloud Apps and Tools:
• Create and update Azure Enterprise Apps for SSO and Azure Proxy.
• Manage resources such as Entra ID, RBAC, and Office 365.
• System Security and Maintenance:
• Update and patch systems to meet security requirements and best practices.
• Utilize and manage system backups, ensuring data integrity and recovery capabilities.
• Escalation and Documentation:
• Serve as an escalation point for complex Azure, Entra ID, RBAC, and O365 issues.
• Develop and maintain playbooks for planned responses to outages or technical issues.
Qualifications
• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree required (equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of a degree).
• Technical Expertise:
• Proven experience managing Azure-based, highly resilient production systems.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Azure services and virtual machine deployment.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, including firewalls and load balancers.
• Familiarity with hybrid Active Directory environments and Entra ID.
• Hands-on experience with compute resource management and monitoring.
• Additional Skills:
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (or similar systems) preferred.
• Palo Alto firewall and Prisma experience is a significant plus.
• Proficient in troubleshooting technical problems with well-developed methodologies.
